The Concept

Adapting the short stories originally published on my Substack, Space Between provides the small stories that occupy the space bridging my novels Friends In Low Places, Lose Yourself, and Landslide. Moving seamlessly across genres, generations, and geographies, this collection offers readers a rich, overlapping literary universe where a background character in one novel seamlessly steps into the spotlight as the hero of a short story. Set against the vividly drawn backdrops of California, these interconnected stories map the razor-thin line between ambition and ruin.
